As a heads up, the intent for that section isn't so much to repeat common names for iconic characters, but instead for other names that are used for minor characters, such as "Gil Bates" and "Tiger Hoods".
Idk about others, but i usually don't use medals for upgrading ingredients. I'd rather let them gain xp naturally. And you will get medals monthly depend on your store evaluation which mostly from sales number. you can get 5-8 medals each game month this way, and every end year , theres a contest that can net 30-35 medals too.
For me, i can still keep up with my upkeep using my store sales and make a decent profit too, currently using mall mart supplier and i can make about 3-4 Million each game year.
You can also running truck sales to get medals and extra income too.
on the Bonbon Cakery Trivia section, you edited it to say "1.3.5 and 1.3.5". Is one of those supposed to say 1.3.6? And if so, based on the wording "as of version" I think we only need to list the first known version.
Edit: Also, isn't this a bug more than a Trivia note?
A bug doesn't have to be harmful. I think this sentence form Wikipedia sums it up best: "A software bug is an error, flaw, failure, or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result".
oh you need internet connection to even get into the game, tested this out recently. Also, if you lose connection mid-game, your CP and truck will cease to function until u restart the game with a working internet connection
Depends on the game. Most games have "mini-guides" that can be found fairly easily; Many of the "early" games have very good guides around (such as this one for Hot Springs Story). Adeptgamer.com also has detailed guides (on the games it has).
Also, while uploading images is always great, could you please include the game's name in the file name? While I appreciate you using understandable file names (not untiled1.png or something =p), not including the the name of the game in the file name can get confusing / messy.
Glad to hear you like the font :) I came across a wiki a few days ago that used a nice distinct font for headings, and thought that was a great idea, especially since headings 3-5 get harder and harder to see / distinguish as headings at first glance, and just making them bold doesn't really help.
I prefer not using abbreviations, since they might conflict with a future games (HSS already represents two games for example), and is not immediately obvious out-of-context, plus it makes the naming convention different for different files (although I'll admit this is kind of already the case). Abbreviations are better than having nothing, but the full name is preferred.
I knew of the "crops" situation (as well as Matches (Pocket League Story 2)), but figured it wasn't a problem. They are headings inside the table after all (to make the ToC work without have the headings before the table).
well since two people think so I'll relent. I see no reason for a different font (in terms of fixing this problem); we can either move them out of the tables, or I can just tweak the CSS rule to not style headings for .wikitable.
edit:If anyone would like to suggest a different font, I'm open to suggestions obtw.
That's the kind of thing I meant on my one thread about asking if anyone had any "fun" little things to add to the wiki. But most web designers avoid custom cursors since it forces the user's chosen cursor to be something else (overrides a user-defined setting) (plus some custom cursors are fairly awkward).
But things like that can be added, yes. Most of the changes I've made are small / subtle (the most obvious probably being the background image on the ToC), but basically any design thing you've seen on other wikis / websites could be done here (although some should be avoided - like fancy tooltips - since it doesn't work well in the mobile skin, which is important since these are mobile games).
like one instance, the tables in the recipes page are supposed to be scroll-able in the mobile version. However, if u force close the app (internet) (which would be logical as who the hell will press 'back' repeatedly just to quit the app normally), it would not work next time and would need u to delete the tab and re-access the webpage.
i rest my case (finally had somewhere to complain)
I never said the wiki was friendly to mobile users =p But we should avoid designs that wouldn't work in mobile at all (although it's kind of a lost cause since Wikia + tables = horrible). Any design-specific complaints?
If you have any specific complaints, you might want to use Special:Contact/general. Wikia isn't great about fixing stuff like that (specific bugs) in my experience, but they are often nice, respond quickly, and can be quite helpful if you have a question. They claim to be focusing on mobile stuff more this year, so it won't hurt to mention it.
I'm not sure what kind of timer we're talking. But High Sea Saga's stamina timer is quite 'personal'. Usually it's 5 minutes / stamina. But if you have gold pass subscription, it's 2 min/stamina.
On daily bonus time, its 3 minutes/stamina for non gold pass members. Gold pass members stay the same.
Then there's also the in-game bonuses , if you have crews with cook's ability, each one will increase stam regen by 10s. Up to a max 6 cooks' ability can be stacked. Haven't tested it but during daily bonus time, its probably will be 2 min/stam for non gold pass member. And 1 min/stamina for gold pass members.
if you have specific ideas, I have no inherit objections. I try changing little things occasionally anyways (like adding an image to stub template / adding little boxes around GameNav links), but I usually only do that when something specific occurs to me, and it's within the scope of something I can fairly easily do (thus no art).
Trivia note: I haven't been around for half of these, but Wikia has gone through many skins it seems: Monobook -> Monico -> oasis -> (the one I originally saw, no name I think?) -> Darwin (the current, and basically a tweaked version of the previous) -> The new "article layout" skin (which also seems to be including a lot of little changes as well - this might technically be part of the Darwin skin... Who knows! =p Basically any after oasis are just the "Wikia" skin really)
Edit: The only previous skin you can see however is the monobook one.
Also, as far as art for the wiki's design goes, feel free to suggest / add any of the cute little animated gifs found on http://kairosoft.net/kairopark/townshop.html (any of the games on the left side, not just this page). I've already taken at least 5 little gifs from that part of their site; I'd love to use them all, but most don't really fit anywhere =p
hahaha... at first it doesn't seem too great due to the many tabs and options and the tutorial wasn't very clear if u have never played kairosoft games as the tutorial does not "force" u to click certain things when prompted
however, when u get pass that... the game is actually very deep with all those customisations u can have on your cake :)
You can add photos for Western King differences if you want, but it's not "required"; simply explaining the difference will suffice for this if you'd prefer. While pictures are always nice, but I don't fault people for not adding pictures. Getting good screen shots and then cropping them can be annoying, especially when there's multiple you need to do.

Also, if you want to edit a table (add rows), I recommend hitting the arrow next to the edit button and choosing "Classic Editor", and then right click for options. The current editor is in "beta", and hasn't been updated to reflect row/column adding yet.
