There are 64 customers in the game, evenly divided between gender and age demographics. Some customers only appear when you place a certain clothing good out for sale or build a certain item.

Customers have their own stats indicative of their purchasing preferences. It's your duty to cater to these desires. While you have little direct influence over customers' stats, customers might discover new jobs that increase certain attributes.

• Gender and Age ... Determines the clothing, fixtures, and tenants customers are interested in. Although these are given as separate stats, they function together to form 8 market segments that are almost completely independent of each other. These segments are:
  1. males aged 1-20

  4. males aged 45+
  5. females aged 1-20
  6. females aged 21-35
  7. females aged 36-45
  8. females aged 45+
• Capital ... Measures how much money a customer has to spend. The scale goes from F (lowest) up to A, then to S, SS, and SSS (highest). When a customer changes jobs, their capital improves.
• Style Level ... As a customer's style level rises, they may ask you to coordinate an outfit. This gives you a chance to earn medals, raise the store's popularity, change the customer's job, and occasionally earn items.
• Fave Genre ... An indication of clothing preference based on the clothing stats Casual, Luxury, Chic, Glamour. High numbers in a customer's favored genre helps raise their style level.
• Job ... Customers with good jobs have better stats. There are 70 jobs. Your customers change jobs by trying on new outfits in the fitting room or when you successfully coordinate an outfit for them.
